It’s Harvest Time

The Lord wants you to know the key to winning your loved ones to the Lord—timing.

“You find it easy enough to forecast the weather—why can’t you read the signs of the times?” Matthew 16:3

You’ve been praying for your family and friends for years. You know some of them do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Yes, you’ve invited them to church. Maybe you’ve even shared the Gospel with them, but to no avail. They weren’t interested. They didn’t believe. So you stopped trying. I’ve been there too.

But, the Lord wants you to know the key to winning your loved ones to the Lord—timing.

Ever try working with fruits and vegetables that weren’t ripe? They may look delicious on the outside, but on the inside they’re tough, bitter or sour. A crop needs more time in the heat of the sun to ripen. Until that happens, they’re just not ready.

Likewise, our unsaved loved ones have been hardened through unbelief to God’s plan of salvation. They’re not ready to hear. So, what prepares the skeptic to consider Christ? Time and adversity (the Son’s heat).

As prophetic events continue to unfold (famines, pestilence, wars and natural disasters) and circumstances become increasingly difficult, many will begin seeking answers, seeking God. The Lord has especially equipped you and me for this season. He has given us power to bring in the harvest.

“And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.” (Matthew 9:35 – Matthew 10:1) KJV

You are also Jesus’ disciple. You have the answer to your loved one’s problems—salvation through Christ. God has promised to give you proof of the truth of His Word through the miracles you will perform in Jesus’ name. Pray for their needs and expect results.

“…Whoever lives in me and I in him shall produce a large crop of fruit. For apart from me you can’t do a thing.    If anyone separates from me, he is thrown away like a useless branch, withers, and is gathered into a pile with all the others and burned.   But if you stay in me and obey my commands, you may ask any request you like, and it will be granted!    My true disciples produce bountiful harvests. This brings great glory to my Father.” John 15:5-8

It’s time to share the Gospel with your loved ones. The harvest is ready.
