Are you maximizing your potential, or are you doing just enough to get by? Potential is generally defined as unrealized ability. We all have the ability to maximize and even exceed our potential – if we would only believe and step out on faith. Hebrews 11:6 tells us that “but without faith, it is impossible to please God…….” Operating in faith aligns our actions with God’s will and His word. With God, all things are possible, literally.
Too often, we limit ourselves and choose not to stretch out on faith and live the life that we dream about – a purposeful and meaningful life – where we are emptying out ourselves daily to the good of mankind and the universe. Many individuals let fear hold them captive from pursuing passion, purpose and dreams. Many fear change and the unknown, and choose to live in the space of familiarity and complacency. Some even settle to operating on a lesser level than what they are capable of, for fear of what others may say or think.
We have to call “FEAR” exactly what it is: False Evidence Appearing Real. Fear is not real. It is an illusion; designed specifically to kill, steal, and destroy hopes and dreams. We can’t allow fear to imprison us to the point that we no longer move forward and pursue the life that we desire and God wants for us. Neither can we allow fear to hinder our potential. We must cast fear aside at all cost, and passionately pursue our God-given purpose, potential, and visions. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
God has given us all a measure of faith and the potential to reach the highest heights! God does not want us to stay in the same position all of our lives – just existing. When we embrace who we are in God, and step out on FAITH, we can then move beyond existing in a state of “just enough”, to a place of “abundance” or “more-than-enough”. Moreover, we can then maximize our potential.
Whatever your purpose, passion, dreams, and visions are; step out on faith and pursue them. The sky is literally the limit, and we all have the ability to reach, own, and operate in your maximum potential with God endorsing our every step. We all have a contribution to make to the world, and when we choose not to purse purpose, passion, dreams, and visions; we render the world an injustice by not adding our value to it.
Don’t let your legacy go unrecorded in time. Make your mark in the world, beginning today. Be who God says that you are, and operate in the full capacity of your abilities. Make the most of the life that God has given you. Stop dimming your light, and live your life to the fullest. MAXIMIZE YOUR POTENTIAL.
